AT LAST: A VINTAGE INSPIRED EDITORIAL
This stunning editorial features a collection of romantic, Notebook-esque photos by Jenny Jean Photography. The gallery, in collaboration with Wildrose Wedding Workshops, was part of a workshop where Jenny was the lead photographer and educator.
Words by Heather of Wildrose Wedding Workshops:
To bring At Last to life, I dove into the amazing vendors who were contributing their work and art to the session. With romantic gown details and a dapper grey suit to the details on the individual cakes at each place setting and the florals for the arch, the boat and the bouquet...each idea was discussed and thought through by our design team.
It was a dream to work alongside Jenny Jean Photography to design this session. Her fine art approach to her craft is not only in the images you see after an event is over and the galleries are sent to clients. Her craft and her love for her art is in every step. We discussed lighting, timing, action, weather, and so many other things. This is why her galleries are so impressive - when you know how much time behind the scenes goes into every shot, you can begin to understand her fine art approach to the romance of wedding photography.
The moment I saw the venue had a sweet pond with a rowboat...I was struck with the romance of all things The Notebook. I may have channeled that idea a little too much, as it poured rain all morning, and we worried the boat scene would truly be that of The Notebook fame. As our attendees arrived, the sun peeked through, gave us the most glorious day, and allowed us to take advantage of the pond, the boat and the beautiful landscape of the venue.
The table design was brought to life by vases, vessels + goblets creating a garland of flowers amongst tapered candles on an intimate wedding table for the couple and their family. A sweetheart table approach with seating for their parents and/or best mates. With the craziness of planning weddings over the last 18+months, we have learned to pivot and lean into new ideas to host intimate weddings.
Finishing details of the table, we created layered plates in pinks + whites, with individual cakes at each place setting...because who doesn’t want to have their dessert first? Especially when it looks like this!
The romance of this wedding design was topped with soft ceremony seating and a beautifully draped arch, an aisle adorned with florals, and a couple so totally in love.
The gallery of images is a true testament to the design team, and all vendors who made this day and design come to life. We hope your romantic wedding design dreams can come true too.
